The west coast of Corfu from the air, green hills above the sea

Corfu

Activities

From the hills to the seabed: what there is to do on the island, near Pelekas.

  • The Corfu Trail

Since the Corfu Trail was established in 2001, thousands of walkers have followed it the length of the island. 220 kilometres long, it leads into a landscape untouched by mass tourism, through the central countryside that visitors rarely discover.

  • Aqualand

Close to Bella Vista is an amazing water park where you can spend the day on water rides and other water activities. Great fun for children of all ages, families and friends, and anyone young in spirit.

  • Diving

Several diving centres around the island let you discover the marvellous seabed of Corfu or, if you are a beginner, try some safe lessons. The most charming spots are along the west coast, near Paleokastritsa. We will be happy to help you plan your diving excursion.

  • Sailing

You can find every kind of boat around Corfu, and in Gouvia Marina a yachting club offers organised tours. A sailing boat reaches deserted beaches that are accessible only by sea. To take a boat without a skipper, you need a sailing licence.

  • Cycling

A bicycle is a good way to discover paths and places that are hard to reach by car, and quiet corners even in the high season. Bicycles can be rented all over the island.

  • Horse riding

On a wooded hilltop at Kalafationes, the Silvaland Equestrian and Life Enrichment Center offers riding and nature activities, including a "Family Fun With Horses" programme.

  • Golf

Corfu has a professional 18-hole course in the Ropa valley, a few kilometres from Corfu Town and less than 10 minutes by car from Bella Vista, for those who love the sport and those who want to try it for the first time.
