An island of olive groves and beaches, and a town on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Corfu Town

Corfu Town, the clandestine "capital of culture" of Greece, is picturesquely flanked by two fortresses and surrounded by lagoons. Home to several museums and churches, it also has a beautiful historic centre that invites you for a stroll or an afternoon of shopping.

In 2007 the historic centre of Corfu was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

  3. Mon Repos

The climate

From May until September temperatures range from 23 to 36 degrees, and it rarely rains. A fresh wind, the maestros, often blows across Corfu, usually from the afternoon, from north to south.

We suggest you avoid Corfu Town during the hottest hours of the day: it is lovely to visit in the evening.
